03/04/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday, 3 April, the European Commission organised a selection procedure for the position of chair of the Sustainability Reporting Board of the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG). This board is responsible for all of EFRAG’s positions on sustainability reporting, including technical advice given to the European Commission on draft European Sustainability Reporting Standards (‘ESRS’) and amendments to these standards. The ESRS are currently being simplified within the framework of the ‘Omnibus’ package (see other news). Patrick de Cambourg has held the position [of chair] since 2022 (see EUROPE 12993/33).
