European Parliament approves draft agreement on ‘PNR’ data between EU and Canada

12/03/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 12 March, MEPs approved the draft agreement on the transfer of passenger name record (PNR) data from the EU to Canada by 521 votes to 90 with 45 abstentions (see EUROPE B13582A11). PNR data includes passengers’ travel dates and itineraries, contact details, seat numbers and baggage information. The agreement defines the rules for transferring and processing PNR data to Canada, prohibits the processing of sensitive data, guarantees individuals...
