13/02/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday, 13 February, European Commission Executive Vice-President for Social Rights and Skills, Quality Jobs and Preparedness Roxana Mînzatu hosted a thematic roundtable as part of the Strategic Dialogue on the Future of the Automotive Industry (see EUROPE 13569/5). Like her colleague Wopke Hoekstra the previous day (see EUROPE 13577/36), the executive vice-president met with key industry leaders, social partners, and stakeholders to discuss skills and social considerations in order to develop a common understanding of the critical challenges and solutions for the industry. The European Commission emphasises that the ‘clean’ transition is “an opportunity for the sector to discuss how best to support skills and quality jobs, and support the sector’s competitiveness, in the context of technological and digital changes and challenges in the workforce.” See the list of participants: https://aeur.eu/f/fha (AD)
