ACER calls for group of experts to assess flexibility needs of EU electricity system

22/01/25 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 20 January, the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) announced that it was forming a group of experts to assess the flexibility needs of the EU’s electricity system. Due to the massive growth in renewable energies, the need for flexibility is set to double by 2030, according to ACER. The regulation on the design of the electricity market (see EUROPE B13560A27) therefore requires the Agency to carry out an assessment of flexibility...
