EU Council adopts regulation on standardisation of technical requirements for type-approval of non-road mobile machinery

16/12/24 (Agence Europe) – The Council of the EU formally adopted the regulation on the approval and market surveillance of non-road mobile machinery (NRMM) circulating on public roads on Monday 16 December (see EUROPE B13356A7), despite Slovakia’s negative vote. This regulation harmonises road safety requirements for self-propelled machinery, such as lawnmowers, harvesters or bulldozers, which have to drive on public roads.
