16/12/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 16 December, the EU Council adopted restrictive measures against three Haitian individuals engaged in criminal activities and acts of violence involving armed groups and criminal networks in Haiti. The individuals targeted are Jonel Catel, leader of the ‘Terre Noir’ gang affiliated to the ‘G9’ coalition of gangs, Gabriel Jean-Pierre, leader of the ‘GPep’ coalition of gangs, and Ferdens Tilus, leader of the ‘Kokorat San Ras’ gang, the EU Council said in a statement. The persons designated are subject to an asset freeze and EU persons and entities are prohibited from providing them with funds, financial assets or economic resources.
