Reporters Without Borders presses charges against social network X for disseminating false information and identity theft

15/11/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday, 13 November, Reporters Without Borders (RSF) announced that it was pressing charges against X in the French courts after being targeted by a disinformation campaign that failed to elicit any response from the social network. The NGO filed ten reports for defamation against the posts “that most heavily contributed to the spread of this disinformation”.
