European Commission and Bosnia and Herzegovina sign association agreement for EU4Health programme

23/07/24 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 23 July, the European Commission and the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina signed an agreement associating Bosnia and Herzegovina with the EU4Health programme. This agreement will improve the ability of the country’s healthcare system to respond to the immediate health needs of its citizens and help to strengthen its resilience. With retroactive effect from 1 January 2024, public and private entities in the health sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be able to access EU funding targeting critical areas such as improving cancer diagnosis, treatment and care, developing strategies for stockpiling medicines, strengthening mental health services, digitalising healthcare and implementing initiatives to address cross-border health threats.
