ILGA-Europe proposes its five-year strategic framework for more inclusive action in line with contemporary developments

On Tuesday 16 April, the European branch of the International Lesbian and Gay Association (ILGA-Europe) published its action plan for the next 5 years. This 2024-2029 strategic framework aims to strengthen a commitment that is open to as many people as possible and adaptable to changes in society.

This work on the association’s openness and flexibility in the face of contemporary issues is structured around five main areas. The aim is to make LGBTI communities “more empowered and inclusive”, to turn their actions into “strong and growing movements” and to work for laws and policies that “recognise and protect the human rights” of LGBTI people.

The manifesto is also based on the desire to achieve “fair, just and equal” economies and societies, where social acceptance and inclusion of diversity of sexual orientation and characteristics, as well as gender expression, remain unquestioned.
