25/03/2024 (Agence Europe) – The Member States’ ambassadors to the EU (Coreper) approved, on Friday 22 March, the agreement reached on Wednesday 6 March with the European Parliament on the revision of the ‘Single European Sky’ (‘SES 2+’) framework (see EUROPE 13365/1). Under the provisional agreement, an independent Performance Review Board (PRB) will be set up, in the form of a permanent group of experts from outside the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). It will have an advisory role vis-à-vis the European Commission and the national supervisory authorities (NSAs). The PRB’s role will be to assist the Commission, and NSAs on request, in implementing performance and pricing systems. The text still has to be approved by the European Parliament before it can be officially adopted. To read the provisional agreement: https://aeur.eu/f/bi6 (AD)
