25/03/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 25 March, Ireland submitted a request to revise its post-Covid-19 recovery plan to include a ‘REPowerEU’ chapter with measures designed to accelerate the energy transition and reduce dependence on Russian hydrocarbons. With a budget of €1,15 billion in the form of grants (including €150 million from the Brexit adjustment reserve), this chapter will aim to boost the production of renewable energy, improve the energy efficiency of the public building stock and invest more in sustainable mobility.
