08/01/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 8 January, the European Commission announced that it had authorised, under the temporary crisis and transition framework (see EUROPE 13138/1), a French aid scheme worth €2.9 billion to support investment in industries active in the so-called “green” energy sector. The measure is aimed at companies with investment projects in the production of solar panels, batteries, wind turbines or heat pumps. The measure will also be open to companies with projects involving the production of components essential to the manufacture of this equipment or critical materials needed for the production of this equipment. The aid will reach eligible businesses in the form of a tax credit granted until 31 December 2025. (EV)
