Cooperation between Council of Europe and UN on execution of European Court of Human Rights judgments and human rights situation in Russia

Mariana Katzarova, United Nations Special Rapporteur on the human rights situation in the Russian Federation, visited the Council of Europe on Tuesday 12 and Wednesday 13 December to strengthen the synergies between the two organisations on the issue of human rights in Russia.

On 12 December, she held talks with Marija Pejčinović Burić, Secretary General of the Council of Europe, and on 13 December, she exchanged views with the Committee of Ministers on foreign affairs.
