EU Council and European Parliament reach agreement on regulation governing harmonisation of construction products

At the end of the third trilogue on Wednesday 13 December, the Council of the EU and MEPs validated the text of the provisional agreement on the regulation updating the rules on sustainability for construction products and their standardisation on the single market.

The positions of the Council (see EUROPE B13214A13) and Parliament (see EUROPE B13186A6) were not very far apart and enabled the negotiators to quickly agree on a compromise text.
