European Parliament calls on EU to do more to tackle non-communicable diseases

On Wednesday 13 December, the European Parliament called for the adoption of measures at European level to better combat non-communicable diseases (NCDs), which account for 90% of all deaths in the EU and the largest share of national healthcare expenditure (see EUROPE B13287A14).
