On 5 December, EU Interior Ministers will be asked to assess health of Schengen area and prepare for final negotiations with European Parliament on Pact on Migration and Asylum

The Interior Ministers of the European Union countries will meet in Brussels on Tuesday 5 December for a formal EU Council meeting that will not take any decisions, but will nevertheless focus on a number of sensitive issues, such as the enlargement of the Schengen area, preparations for the numerous trilogues on the Pact on Migration and Asylum on 7 December, and the impact on the EU’s internal security and online radicalisation caused by the situation in the Middle East.
