ECB selects rivers, birds and European culture most popular with public for euro banknotes

The Governing Council of the European Central Bank (ECB) selected, on Thursday 30 November, two possible themes for future euro banknotes. The two themes selected are ‘European Culture’ and ‘Rivers and Birds’.
