Energy consumption in agricultural and forestry sectors stable in 2021

30/11/23 (Agence Europe) – In 2021, energy consumption in the agriculture and forestry sectors was equivalent to 28.3 million tonnes of oil, a marginal variation of -0.3% compared with 2020, Eurostat reported on Wednesday 29 November. On the other hand, total energy consumption in the EU has risen by 6.2% compared to 2020. The agriculture and forestry sectors contributed 3% of the EU’s total energy consumption in 2021.
