Strategic vision, better rules, dual-use and funding will be pillars of European Defence Industrial Strategy, according to Ursula von der Leyen

In a speech to the European Defence Agency (EDA) conference on Thursday 30 November, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, outlined the new European Defence Industrial Strategy, due to be presented early next year.

According to Mrs von der Leyen, this will focus on four areas: a strategic vision, better rules, dual use and funding.
