European Commission concerned that merger between Orange and MasMovil could affect competition in several Spanish telecommunications markets

On Tuesday 27 April, the European Commission announced that it had issued a statement of objections concerning the proposed joint venture between the Orange and MasMovil groups, the second and fourth largest retail providers of mobile and fixed Internet services in Spain.
