Sustainable batteries, European Parliament gives final approval to future EU regulation

On Wednesday 14 June, by 587 votes to 9 with 20 abstentions, the European Parliament gave its final approval to the future EU regulation on batteries and battery waste, the first emblematic piece of legislation on the circular economy. It thus ratified the provisional interinstitutional agreement reached under the Czech Presidency (see EUROPE B13081A5).
