MEPs call for maternity and paternity leave to allow them to be represented after birth of their children

On Tuesday 13 June, a number of pregnant MEPs, including Lara Wolters (S&D, Dutch), Leïla Chaibi (The Left, French), Claudia Gamon (Renew Europe, Austrian) and Adriana Maldonado Lopez (S&D, Spanish), together with other MEPs, sent a manifesto to the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, calling on her to “officially recognise maternity/paternity leave in the rules of procedure, to have the option of voting from a distance, and to have the option of appointing a colleague...
