Delegated act of European Commission on PDOs and PGIs in wine sector

31/05/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 30 May, the European Commission presented a delegated act amending Delegated Regulation 2019/33 as regards certain provisions on protected denominations of origin and protected geographical indications for wine and on the presentation of compulsory particulars for grapevine products. This text concerns applications for the protection of designations of origin, geographical indications and traditional terms in the wine sector, the objection procedure, restrictions of use, amendments to product specifications, cancellation of protection, and labelling and presentation.
