EU mobilises €47 million in emergency aid and sets up humanitarian airlift to Goma

In response to the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the east of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), the EU is mobilising more than €47 million in emergency aid for the European Commission’s partner humanitarian organisations on the ground to cover the basic needs of the conflict-affected population: nutrition, health care, water and sanitation, shelter and protection.
