European Parliament Committee on Legal Affairs calls for waiver of immunity of Marc Tarabella and Andrea Cozzolino

31/01/2023 (Agence Europe) – Members of the Committee on Legal Affairs (JURI) in the European Parliament voted unanimously on two reports suggesting the waiver of the immunity of two MEPs: Marc Tarabella (S&D, Belgian) and Andrea Cozzolino (NI, Italian). They are both the focus of the Belgian investigation linked to the ‘Qatargate’ scandal (see EUROPE 13091/10). All 705 MEPs will vote on these two waivers of immunity in plenary on Thursday 2 February. (LM)
