03/06/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 2 June, Christian Archambeau, Executive Director of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), announced the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding between his agency and Brazil’s Instituto Nacional da Propriedade Industrial. The collaboration and participation of INPI Brasil in the first phase of the “IPKey_EU” Latin America project has been “very positive”, said the Executive Director, and the next phase of this project will see the Brazilian team installed in an office on INPI premises. The new “Al-INVEST PI” project is “very promising”, according to Mr Archambeau, towards developing a valuable programme on intellectual property and sustainable development. He also highlighted the extension of the harmonised database for goods and services with the Brazilian institution. (PH)
