03/06/2022 (Agence Europe) – The General Secretariat of the EU Council proposed, in a document dated 1 June, the new Association Agenda between the EU and Moldova for the 2021-2027 period. The objectives of the cooperation are fivefold: (1) resilient, sustainable and integrated economies; (2) accountable institutions, Rule of law and security; (3) environmental and climate resilience; (4) resilient digital transformation; (5) resilient, equitable and inclusive societies. The Association Agenda also highlights five priority areas for action in the short and medium term, with measures to be put in place within 3 to 4 years or 7 years. This concerns: (1) democracy, human rights and good governance; (2) common foreign and security policy; (3) freedom, security and justice; (4) economic and sectoral cooperation; (5) trade and trade-related matters.
