European Commission opens new feedback period on industrial pollution

12/04/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 8 April, the European Commission launched a new feedback period on a regulation on the reporting of environmental data from industrial installations and the establishment of an Industrial Emissions Portal in connection with the proposal for an Industrial Emissions Directive (‘IED’ directive) presented on Tuesday 5 April (see EUROPE 12926/2). The aim is to improve the efficiency of the E-PRTR, the European Pollutant Release and Transfer Register, a public electronic database, in order to align it with the objectives of the ‘Green Deal’.
