12/04/2022 (Agence Europe) – The European Labour Authority (ELA) announced on Monday 11 April that it coordinated and supported joint inspections between the Netherlands and Bulgaria between 28 March and 5 April. Road and labour inspectors checked two companies in Bulgaria and the Netherlands for possible violations of labour laws and the social rights of workers. More than 10 drivers and a company representative were interviewed during the inspections. The working conditions of posted workers and employees were monitored, as well as compliance with the rules on the transport of dangerous goods. In this context, the authority has: - provided a platform for exchange between services and assistance on cross-border issues; - deployed staff on site; - provided financial and logistical support.
