01/12/2021 (Agence Europe) – Business leaders, financial institutions and policy makers took part on 29 November and 1 December in the ‘European Business and Nature Summit’ (EBNS), a high-level political and technical forum aimed at increasing activities undertaken by businesses to protect and support nature. The Forum, which was organised online by the European Commission’s EU Business@Biodiversity platform and other partners, provided an opportunity to exchange experiences on initiatives intended to integrate natural capital and biodiversity into business decision-making processes. The objective is to increase the number of signatories to The Finance for Biodiversity pledge, which was launched on 25 September 2020 by a group of 26 financial institutions as part of the run-up to the 15th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity. The second part of this COP15 is scheduled to take place in Spring 2022. (AN)
