EU RESPONSE TO COVID-19 / State aid

Polish support of €1.1 billion for companies affected by coronavirus pandemic given green light

On Thursday 11 March, the European Commission authorised a €1.1 billion Polish aid scheme to support companies operating in various sectors affected by the coronavirus pandemic. The scheme was approved under the State Aid Temporary Framework.

The scheme comprises four measures:

– €173 million (SMEs and large companies active in the tourism sector, wage subsidies of up to €464 per month per employee for a maximum period of 3 months);
