08/06/2020 (Agence Europe) – The EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue, Miroslav Lajčák, welcomed on 6 June the decision of the new Kosovar government (see EUROPE 12498/24) to remove barriers to imports of Serbian products. “The swift removal of obstacles to the resumption of the facilitated dialogue shows a clear commitment of Kosovo to get back to the table without delay”, he said on Twitter. The dialogue has been deadlocked since November 2018 and Kosovo’s imposition of 100% customs duties on Serbian products. (see EUROPE 12143/6). These duties were abolished on 1 April (see EUROPE 12459/20), but at the end of May, Pristina decided to ban products not marked “destined for the Republic of Kosovo” (see EUROPE 12497/32). (CG)
