13/05/2020 (Agence Europe) – Romanian MEP Cristian Terheş has joined the European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) group in the European Parliament, the group announced in a statement on Wednesday 13 May. With this new addition, the group has 62 members. Mr Terheş, formerly of the Social Democrat (S&D) group, was delighted to be part of a “new political family that strives for a truly reformed European Union, one which focuses on its citizens’ needs and respects the identity and sovereignty of the nation state”. He promised to stand with his new colleagues in defending a “more efficient European Union”. (MF)
