Member States endorse €279 million in aid from EU Solidarity Fund

On Wednesday 13 May, the Committee of Permanent Representatives of the Member States to the EU (Coreper) approved a proposal to grant €279 million in aid to Portugal, Spain, Italy and Austria following natural disasters (see EUROPE B12478A21).

The aid, which comes from the EU Solidarity Fund, will be used to help repair the damage caused by the major natural disasters that hit these four Member States in 2019.
