Airbus dispute settlement, Washington should receive WTO approval as early as Monday 14 October

11/10/2019 (Agence Europe) – Following the World Trade Organization (WTO) arbitration decision on 2 October last (see EUROPE 12340/13, 12339/13), an extraordinary meeting of the Dispute Settlement Body (DSB) will be held on Monday 14 October at 9 a.m. to decide on the United States’ request to the President of the DSB to authorise them to take counter-measures against the European Union in the Airbus dispute (see EUROPE 12346/11) for an amount of US$ 7.5 billion per year. Washington's request is subject to the ‘negative consensus’ rule, which means that it can only be blocked if all members present refuse it. To view the US request: https://bit.ly/2nOQsOj (HD)
