Launch of negotiations between European Parliament and Council of EU on electronic information exchange in freight

On Wednesday 25 September, the Finnish Presidency of the Council of the European Union and representatives of the European Parliament held a first meeting of interinstitutional negotiations ('trilogue') concerning the proposal for a Regulation on the electronic exchange of information in the freight transport sector.

It appears that both the Council and Parliament agree on the importance of the legislative proposal and its objective, namely to regulate the electronic exchange of information...
