26/09/2019 (Agence Europe) – The Slovak Parliament approved on Wednesday 25 September the conclusion of the CETA, the comprehensive economic and trade agreement with Canada, confirmed a diplomatic source to EUROPE. Presidential ratification, which is almost automatic, is expected within two weeks, bringing the number of Member States that have ratified the Trade Treaty to 14 (see EUROPE 12285/6). In France, after the ratification of the National Assembly, the text of the draft law was sent at the end of July 2019 to the Senate, which will have to validate the agreement in a still-tense domestic context.
