27/06/2019 (Agence Europe) – The third international Ministerial on Climate Action (MoCA) will be hosted in Brussels this Friday 28 June. It is organised by the European Commissioner for Climate and Energy Action, Miguel Arias Cañete, Canada's Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Catherine McKenna, and China's Special Representative on Climate Change, Xie Zhenhua. It will bring together Ministers and high-level representatives from over 30 countries, including the G20 countries, and will focus on: - the challenges and process of the negotiations of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change; - the implementation of the Paris Agreement; - the level of ambition of the commitments. Its purpose is to facilitate exchanges between Ministers and societal partners (business, industry, investors, insurers, scientists, experts). (AN)
