Group still does not have a new name

The ALDE&R group in the European Parliament still does not have a new name.

This should have been decided on Wednesday, 5 June, but, faced with an avalanche of proposals, the vote on the liberal group’s new name is expected to only take place on Tuesday, 11 June, and Wednesday, 12 June (see EUROPE B12267A1).

According to one source, out of the 40 or so names proposed for the group, about seven names are expected be selected in order to reduce the options for the vote. This...
