02/05/2019 (Agence Europe) – Member States' ambassadors to the EU (Coreper) gave the green light on Thursday 2 May to the conclusion of a cooperation agreement between the European Judicial Cooperation Agency, Eurojust, and Denmark (see EUROPE 12239/12). Such an agreement is necessary because Copenhagen, which does not participate in Eurojust, is not bound by the reform of the Agency's governance model (see EUROPE 12044/3), which will apply starting 12 December 2019. The agreement provides in particular for the exchange of information and the participation of the representative to Eurojust from Denmark, without the right to vote, in certain operational and strategic meetings. It also contains specific provisions on the competence of the EU Court of Justice and Denmark's contribution to Eurojust's budget. The Council implementing decision approving the conclusion of the agreement is expected to be formally adopted on 14 May at the Agriculture Council. (MF)
