02/05/2019 (Agence Europe) – Ambassadors of the EU Member States (Coreper) agreed on Thursday 2 May to extend the Advisory Mission to the Ukrainian Internal Security Forces (EUAM) for 2 years, until 31 May 2021, according to a European source. For these two additional years, €54.138 million of budget should be allocated to it. The decision is expected to be formally adopted at the 'Defence' Foreign Affairs Council on 14 May. The mission, which has more than 300 members, was established in Kiev in 2014 (see EUROPE 11208/25), and has had branches in Lviv and Kharkov since 2016 and in Odessa since 2018. EUAM is currently conducting a major recruitment period with a call for applications for 18 positions. (CG)
