Sergei Stanishev replaces Claude Moraes on post-Brexit visa-free regime proposal for British

On Monday 1 April the Chairman of the European Parliament's Civil Liberties Committee (LIBE), British Labour MEP Claude Moraes (UK, S&D), was forced to resign as rapporteur on the visa-free legislation for British citizens after the United Kingdom leaves the European Union following a Parliamentary Committee coordinator’s meeting (see EUROPE B12136A10). 

Mr Moraes was replaced by Bulgarian socialist Sergei Stanishev (Bulgaria, S&D), said a source from the S&D group.
