NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced on Monday 1 April that relations with Russia will be on the agenda of the NATO ministerial meeting scheduled for 3 and 4 April in Washington.
Speaking to the press on 1 April, Mr Stoltenberg said he expected ministers to agree on new measures to increase their knowledge of the situation in the Black Sea region and to strengthen NATO's support for Georgia and Ukraine in areas such as maritime and coast guard training, exercises and port visits and information sharing.
The fight against terrorism and burden sharing - dear to Donald Trump - are also expected to be discussed during the meeting, which will provide the opportunity to celebrate the Alliance's 70th anniversary.
In addition, on 28 March, Jens Stoltenberg's term as NATO Secretary General was extended for two years, until 30 September 2022. The 60-year-old Norwegian has been in post since 1 October 2014. (Original version in French by Camille-Cerise Gessant)
