13/02/2019 (Agence Europe) – The Prespa Agreement between Skopje and Athens entered into force on Tuesday 12 February. The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) is now officially called North Macedonia. "We have just exchanged the last note verbale: the Prespa Agreement is now in force!" announced Macedonian Foreign Minister, Nikola Dimitrov, on 12 February. The change of name became official with the publication in the Official Journal of constitutional changes. On Wednesday 13 February, the United Nations confirmed that it had been officially informed of the country's new name by North Macedonia and Greece.
