Europeans call for calm after proposal to change the name of Republika Srpska

The EU delegation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and EU heads of mission in the country called on political parties on Thursday 24 January to refrain from political manoeuvring following the announcement the day before by the main Muslim party, the SDA, that it wanted to challenge the name 'Republika Srpska' before the Constitutional Court, as it considered it discriminatory towards Bosniaks and Croats.
