19/10/2017 (Agence Europe) – During a debate with the MEPs meeting in the 'economic and monetary affairs' committee on Thursday 19 October (see other article), the Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs, Pierre Moscovici, said that the Commission should take account of the costs arising from the recent fires in Spain and Portugal (see EUROPE 11885) in the calculation of the budgetary deficits of the two countries.
