Approval of appointment of Enrico Giovannini as head of the European Advisory Council for Statistical Governance

19/10/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 19 October, the European Parliament’s economic and monetary affairs committee endorsed the appointment of the candidate proposed by the Council of the EU, Enrico Giovannini, as chair of the European Advisory Council for Statistical Governance, along with three other members.  Giovannini was chief statistician at the OCDE from 2001 and 2009, then president of the European Statistics Institute from 2009 to 2013.  He was employment and labour...
