The European Parliament’s civil liberties (LIBE) committee agreed its position on Thursday morning 19 October on the European travel information and authorisation system (ETIAS) for nationals of third countries no longer requiring visas to travel to the EU. ETIAS is designed to allow member states to keep a closer check on travellers from third countries visiting the EU without visas.
