On Thursday 19 October, the Court of Justice of the EU upheld the decision to freeze the assets of the former Ukrainian president, Viktor Yanukovych, and his son Oleksandr for the period between 6 March 2015 and 6 March 2016 (joint cases C-598/16 P and C-599/16 P).
