Strasbourg, 22/10/2009 (Agence Europe) - During a press conference on Wednesday 21 October in Strasbourg, the French MEPs Hélène Flautre (Greens), Catherine Trautmann (Socialist) and Marie-Christine Vergiat (Communist) called for the immediate release of the 38 inhabitants of the Gafsa mining region sentenced to eight years imprisonment after a peaceful demonstration and detained in conditions in violation of human rights.
